Give God What He Wants April 11, 2006

Recently, I had the priviledge to attend The Threshing Floor Revival. What an experience. I can’t articulate to you in words what that experience did to and for my spirit. Consequently, the Lord called me into a season of intense consecration. From this, I have experienced even greater conversations with the Lord. As I was communing with the Father on this morning, He reminded me that this year marks the 100 year anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival. There have been several prophetic words released to the body of Christ concerning a wave of God’s glory being released. So, it prompted a question in my spirit. “Father, how will Your glory be ushered in?” And He said, “Through your worship.” Then I said, “How can my worship usher in Your glory?” He then said, “My daughter, you are an intricate member and part of My body. And as every member and part of My body releases worship, it will cause Me to inhale the sweet aroma and breathe down My glory upon you. This is the process that will provoke My return.” This prompted yet another question in me. I said, “Well, Daddy, why has it been such a long time since a wave of glory has rested upon us?” He then reminded me of the scripture in John 19:28 when Jesus was hanging on the cross and said, “I am thirsty.” Jesus wasn’t given what would satisfy His thirst; water. He was given vinegar. Then the Lord said to me, “I have been so thirsty for so long. My thirst has not been quenched because the church has continued to give Me vinegar.” Then, with the warmth of His embrace, He whispered ever so softly to me and said, “My daughter, all I ask is that My people give Me what I want; worship.” Oh people of God, that thing hit me so hard. I thought that there had already been worship going on. Some of you attend churches with high worship services. So, I really didn’t understand how it could be. How could it be that people engage in worship, or worship filled acts, and the Lord still speak of His thirst. So, I had yet another question. “How is it that people offer You worship and You still thirst?” The Lord took my mind back to the times that I have gone into the grocery stores to buy gallons of water, and have carefully looked to see what type of water it is. He then reminded me of the time I stopped drinking water from the faucet. The water was filthy with particles floating in it. I just refused to drink it. Then the Father said to me, “My daughter, the same way you examine the water you drink, I examine the water I drink.” My heart became so heavy. All God wants is clean water to drink. In other words, all He wants is purified worship. What are you saying Mia? People of God, although God has said that He was sending His glory, it is going to require purification. My desire for you is that you will make sure you aren’t a person answering God’s call to thirst with tainted worship. Ask God to purify every area of your life so that we can collectively usher in the glory of God. It is then, and only then, that we can experience enough power in unity to usher in His glory, and ultimately the return of our King. God bless you, and I love you so very much.

Blessings,

Lady Mia Johnson
